The lighthouse from 'the other side'
Todays highlight came when we decided to take a walk past the light house to the old light house right at the tip of Cape Point.
This clifface is not a place to hang out other than maybe getting a quick snap "Been here, got the t-shirt".
This is a sight everyone should see, but only the few who venture further than the current lighthouse, will be able to be spoilt by the beauty of this wild ocean on this tip of Africa.
Vasco de Gama came here in the mid 1400's and placed his cross in the vacinity of this monument. We can see why the sailors of the past decided to make this their destination.
The sun started setting and we had to start heading back home.
This is the modern day lighthouse used today to navigate the traffic past this point.
Cape Point is part of Table Mountain National Park and the SANPARKs group. They have many animals in this park, if you just stop and take the time to look for them.
